Just imagine lying on your back in an open field, staring up at the full moon. It is mesmerizing: the irradiating luminescence, a perceived dynamic force plus the stasis that keeps it on its path orbiting the Earth. The Moonbeams ketubah catches much of the quality of this experience.
The papercut is composed of several layers in an overall starburst composition. Rays of light emanating from the center are counterbalanced by a circular movement quietly engulfing the design. There is a tension created by this outward thrust poised with the encircling movement; Strangely, it lends itself to an overall semblance of equilibrium. Moonbeams is a ketubah that embraces an appreciation of the counterpoise of stability and changeability: fixedness and fluctuation—making it a lovely analogy to a successful marriage.
